1. What information do we collect?

Personal information you provide to us

In Short: We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us.

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you express interest in our services, book a lesson or clinic, or contact us. This may include:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number

We do not process sensitive personal information.

Payment data

We may collect data necessary to process your payment if you choose to make purchases, such as your payment instrument number and the security code associated with your payment instrument. All payment data is handled and stored by Stripe. You may review their privacy notice at stripe.com/privacy. Bookings are managed through Origin (exploreorigin.com/en/privacy).

All personal information you provide must be true, complete, and accurate.

Information automatically collected

In Short: Some technical information — such as your IP address and browser characteristics — is collected automatically when you visit our site.

We automatically collect certain information when you visit our website. This information does not reveal your specific identity but may include device and usage data such as IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and information about how and when you use our site. This information is used to maintain the security and operation of our site and for internal analytics purposes.

We use the following analytics tools:

  • Cloudflare Web Analytics — privacy-first analytics that does not use cookies and does not fingerprint users. IP addresses are anonymized. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
  • PostHog — product analytics used to understand how visitors interact with our site and to run A/B experiments on page content. PostHog stores an anonymous identifier in your browser’s local storage. No personally identifiable information is attached to analytics events. See PostHog’s privacy policy.

2. How do we process your information?

In Short: We process your information to provide our services, communicate with you, and improve our site.

We process your personal information for the following reasons:

  • To deliver and facilitate services. We process your information to provide you with the requested lesson, clinic, or guided ride booking.
  • To respond to inquiries and provide support. We process your information to respond to your questions and resolve any issues with requested services.
  • To request feedback. We may contact you about your experience with our services.
  • To evaluate and improve our services. We use analytics data to identify usage trends and improve our website and offerings.
  • To comply with our legal obligations. We may process your information to comply with applicable law, respond to legal requests, and exercise or defend our legal rights.

3. When and with whom do we share your personal information?

In Short: We share information only in specific situations with the following third parties.

We may need to share your personal information in the following situations:

  • Service providers. We share information with Origin (booking platform) and Stripe (payment processing) to fulfill bookings and process payments.
  • Analytics providers. Anonymized usage data is shared with Cloudflare and PostHog for site analytics. No personally identifiable information is included.
  • Business transfers. We may share or transfer your information in connection with any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your information with advertisers or marketing partners.

4. Do we use cookies and other tracking technologies?

In Short: We use limited tracking technologies for site analytics. We do not use advertising cookies.

Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies or local storage and does not track users across sites.

PostHog stores an anonymous session identifier in your browser’s local storage to maintain session continuity and run A/B experiments. This identifier is not linked to any personal information.

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies and local storage through browser settings. Disabling local storage may affect some site features.

5. How long do we keep your information?

In Short: We keep your information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this notice, unless otherwise required by law.

We will only keep your personal information for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements).

Analytics data is retained according to the default retention policies of Cloudflare and PostHog. Contact information submitted through our site or booking platform is retained only as long as needed to support your booking relationship with us.

When we have no ongoing legitimate need to process your personal information, we will delete or anonymize it.

6. Do we collect information from minors?

In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age.

Our services are intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect, solicit data from, or market to children under 18 years of age. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, please contact us at contact@rideskills.bike and we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

7. What are your privacy rights?

In Short: You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time.

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

  • Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate personal information
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Withdraw consent to our processing of your personal information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing

Note: Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing that occurred before withdrawal.

8. Controls for Do-Not-Track features

Most web browsers include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Notice.

9. Do United States residents have specific privacy rights?

In Short: If you are a U.S. resident, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information depending on your state.

Residents of certain U.S. states (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and others) may have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have collected and how it is used
  • Correct inaccurate personal information
  • Request deletion of personal information
  • Opt out of any sale of personal information (note: we do not sell personal information)
